FAQ
Helpful Information
What do you breed?
We breed Goldadors and Cavapoos. Our Goldadors are a mix of a Purebred Golden Retriever and Purebred Labrador Retriever while our Cavapoos are a mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Moyen Poodle. Some of our pups are considered Black Golden Retrievers which are very rare and quite beautiful! It just means there is a high percentage of Golden Retriever in them but they are the colour black. Our other colours include Irish Cream, Apricot, Fox Red, Cream and Parti-colour.
Both breeds are the two most popular breeds, especially for families. They have amazing temperaments and intelligence! They are also the top pick for both therapy and service dogs.

Our Cavapoos are a mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Moyen Poodle. They are a beautiful mix of colours with many apricot, and all are hypoallergenic. They have a very calm personality, make fantastic family pets and are a perfect size for travels and adventures. To learn more about our parents please visit the Meet the Parents page.
Who's Dogs are they?
Our breeding dogs are our family pets, permanently grow up and live in a guardian home or are hired sires. Because they are all in family homes we do not have a breeding program where the dogs retire and are sent to new homes. They will forever be ours and live out a long happy lives with their forever humans.
Meet the parents here.
Will you update us?
We keep in contact throughout the process and as the puppies grow. Sometimes we get a bit excited and send a lot of photos and videos :D We hope in return you would be willing to keep us updated with how they are getting along in their new forever home. We still keep in contact with everyone even as far back as our first litter. When you take one of our puppies you become extended family! Hopefully soon we will be planning and puppy reunion.
Will my puppy be potty trained?
One of the biggest hassles in training and you won't have to worry: Our pups are fully potty trained! We have our puppies in an environment where when they are ready to explore outdoors they are put into their very own guesthouse where they have indoor/outdoor access. Quite quickly they learn to associate grass with relieving themselves. They will also be used to going on cardboard for a period of time but they will be most used to the outdoors. This doesn't mean they won't occasionally have an accident in the house, they're still babies with tiny bladders :) If your puppy is being raised with us in the winter time we will be getting them out as often as we can at an appropriate age and for an appropriate amount of time! These Northern winters are not very puppy friendly :(
when do they come home with me?
Our pups do best going home to their new families at 8 weeks of age. This gives them enough time with their mum and litter-mates while going home early enough to imprint well on their new families and make an easy adjustment to their new life.
Spaying and neutering
We sell our dogs as family pets only, not for intended breeding purposes. We recommend spaying and neutering after they have matured but discuss this with your vet.
Can I visit the the puppies?
We do not allow casual visitations of the puppies for the purpose of protecting their health. At a young age it is easy for disease to be spread and affect your puppy, especially parvovirus which can be deadly. We do allow you to come pick out your puppy (or see your puppy if already chosen) at 4 weeks of age. You are more than welcome to come visit the parents we have on site and see how we operate! Other than that feel free to contact us and we can send you photos and videos to make you feel more comfortable with moving forward :)
What kind of food do you use and recommend?
We use a top rated grain free dog food. We choose to start them off grain free for their health. There is some debate on whether grain free is a healthier option but we believe the closer they eat to how dogs would eat in a natural setting is the healthiest for them. We stick strictly to the dog feed for your puppy but when you take them home we will send you with a bag so you can transition to whichever feed you choose. Some of our puppies do go home and show signs of sensitivities to foods such as chicken and corn. This can be very common in Cavapoos and Labs. We will help you through the whole process and teach you what to keep an eye out for and how to transition to an appropriate food for your pup.
What is lifetime breeder support?
When you take your fur baby home we offer continual contact to help you adjust to your new life with a puppy. We are here to offer continual support and it also encourages us to see our puppy thriving with their new family. When we say lifetime we mean lifetime. You are free to reach out to us any time and we will occasionaly check in with you if it is not a bother. When you adopt one of our puppies you are not just someone purchasing a pet, you become part of the Grace Goldadors family.
What is a Health Guarantee
As ethical breeders we do our absolute best to produce and raise healthy puppies. That means we invest in their health. We insure the pups are raised in a healthy, stimulating environment that supports their physical and mental grown (very important while their minds and joints are still growing!). Out choice of dam and sire is very important, making sure that we know the family lineage, the parents are health tested and we can see the outcomes of their previous litters health. We also genetically test through embark which shows a very wide range of genetic markers.
We offer a 2 year Health Guarantee. Please feel free to contact us about this for more details.
